Cricket Betting at ak44 — Bet on every match from BPL to the T20 World Cup
Combine ak44 sports betting with Bangladesh's favourite sport. Bet across multiple markets in every format — T20, ODI and Test.
T20, ODI and Test — each format has its own character
Cricket's three international formats operate at different speeds and require different strategies. Before placing bets, it is important to understand how each format differs.
T20 Cricket
In this 20-over format, matches can shift quickly. BPL, IPL and the T20 World Cup fall under this category. Since the result can be uncertain right up to the final over, live betting is especially popular.
One Day International (ODI)
In a 50-over match, top-order batting and bowling partnerships play a major role. The ICC ODI World Cup and bilateral series are played in this format. Mid-match markets are a particular draw here.
Test Cricket
In this five-day format, pitch conditions and session-by-session batting continuously shift the betting odds. A draw is also possible — so there are three outcomes to bet on.
BPL, IPL and International Cricket
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is a major franchise cricket event every winter. Bangladeshi fans follow IPL just as closely. With the T20 World Cup, ICC Champions Trophy and bilateral series, there is no shortage of matches throughout the year.
ak44 has dedicated markets set up for these tournaments — outright betting can be placed before a tournament begins, and new bets can also be placed during live matches. Special markets are open for Bangladesh national team (Tigers) matches.
Additionally, regular players on ak44's VIP programme receive weekly cashback benefits, which offer extra value during the cricket season.
Betting on Football and Other Sports
Alongside cricket, you can also bet on football at ak44. Markets are available for English Premier League, UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup matches. Football allows for a draw, so you generally bet on three outcomes (home win, draw, away win) — unlike T20 cricket where, except for Test matches, there are usually only two outcomes.
Markets are also available for tennis, badminton and kabaddi. Since each sport has its own rules and rhythm, betting strategies differ as well — in cricket, session-by-session performance matters most, while in football, goal rates and team form are the key factors.
One important point: sports betting is for entertainment — outcomes are never guaranteed. For responsible play, read the responsible gaming guidelines.
6 popular bet types in cricket — a simple explanation of each
From match winner to multi bet — knowing how each market works makes betting much more straightforward.
Match Winner
You bet on which of the two teams will win. Example: if you back Team A to beat Team B and Team A wins, you receive a payout based on the stated odds. If Team A loses, your entire stake is lost.
Toss Winner
This market is about which team wins the coin toss before the match starts. It is completely separate from the match result — it depends only on the toss. Odds for both teams are usually very close.
Top Batsman
You bet on which batter will score the most runs in an innings or across the full match. Since you choose from multiple players, odds vary across different levels.
Total Runs Over/Under
You bet on whether the total runs scored will be over or under a set number. Example: if the line for the first innings is 160 runs and you back Over, you win if 161 or more runs are scored.
Total Wickets
You bet on an over/under line for the total number of wickets to fall in an innings or across the full match. If the pitch helps spinners, more wickets may fall — though the outcome is always uncertain.
Multi Bet (Accumulator)
You combine multiple matches or markets into a single bet. The odds are multiplied together to give a larger return, but if any selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Decimal, Fractional and American Odds
The same odds can be written in three different ways. The table below uses examples to show this — based on a ৳1,000 bet on Team A to win.
| Format | Value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Total return of ৳2.25 for every ৳1 staked — profit and original stake combined |
| Fractional | 5/4 | ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked — original stake returned separately |
| American (Plus) | +125 | A ৳100 stake returns ৳125 in profit |
Odds of 2.25 on a ৳1,000 bet. If Team A wins, total return is ৳2,250 — comprising ৳1,250 profit and ৳1,000 original stake. If Team A loses, the full ৳1,000 is lost.
Odds of 1.25 (fractional 1/4, American -400). On a ৳1,000 bet, if Team B wins the total return is ৳1,250 — only ৳250 in profit. Lower odds on the favourite mean lower returns.
ak44 displays decimal format as the default — this is the most straightforward format for bettors in Bangladesh. In a multi bet, the odds of each selection must be multiplied together: for example, 1.50 × 1.70 × 1.80 = 4.59, so a ৳100 bet returns ৳459 if all selections are correct.
Odds shift with every wicket and over
In-play or live betting means placing bets while the match is in progress. In cricket, odds are recalculated after every ball, every wicket and every over — if the batting team moves into a strong position, their odds of winning shorten (meaning they become more of a favourite), and a sudden wicket can change the picture entirely.
In T20, these shifts happen very quickly in the final few overs. In Test matches, the movement is slower over sessions, but a rapid cluster of wickets can change odds dramatically.

What to know before you start
Start with one market
Begin by focusing only on the match winner market. Rather than trying to understand several markets at once, getting a good grasp of one makes the whole process much clearer.
Set a budget and stick to it
Decide in advance the maximum amount you will spend in each betting session. Chasing losses with larger bets is always risky.
Understand the odds before you bet
Lower odds mean a favourite; higher odds mean an underdog. But even a heavily favoured team can lose — upsets are very common in cricket.
Read the situation before live betting
Before placing a live bet, check the score and match situation. Avoid impulsive bets and use the MT Live section to follow live scores.
Read the terms and conditions
Knowing the rules around bonuses, withdrawals and betting in advance means no surprises later. Full details are on the terms and conditions page.
Betting is for those aged 21 and above only. Please play responsibly.
